^ In Europe, two world wars broke out. The main opponents have had among others strong Roman Catholic background. It tells something about the false influence of the popes. In the case of France, this has been very clear. But also for Germany.
The beginning of the German state was the Holy Roman Empire founded in the 9th century. Regrettably, after the Reformation, it was not renewed. Up to the Peace of Westphalia in 1648, the majority of the German kings had persecuted many non-Roman Catholic believers away.

¤ The sixth head of the first beast, the Roman Empire, has influenced world politics, first as the emperors of Rome. And after that, as the popes of Rome, when church’ and political power have mixed together, Rev. 13:3-4, <One of the heads of the beast appeared to be mortally wounded. But the mortal wound was healed, and the whole world marveled and followed the beast. 4. They worshiped the dragon who had given authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can wage war against it?”>
The Roman Catholic Church represents about 50% of the Christians of the world. The majority of the wars could have been stopped if the pope had forbidden its church members to take part. Anyway, two World Wars were recently started here.
¤ Rev. 13:5-6, <The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant and blasphemous words, and authority to act for 42 months. 6. And the beast opened its mouth to speak blasphemies against God and to slander His name and His tabernacle—those who dwell in heaven.>
The pope has blasphemed the name of God by speaking with His authority. The residence of the Holy Spirit would be in the Roman Catholic Church. Dead believers were blasphemed by saying they would be mediators.
¤ In chapter 17 this relationship of the prostitute Church with the political leaders was called fornication and it was told that the name of this prostitute, ‘mother Babylon the Great’, contains a secret (4a§1317, Rev. 17:2), Rev. 17:5, <And on her forehead a mysterious name was written: BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.>
With the Reformation, many daughters were born from this mother church, which at first were beautiful innocent children, where the Bible was respected and all sorts of former Christian values were found back. But instead of continuing with separating the church from the state, new state churches were established.
