Boek Openbaring §18, Einde van het Christendom: WAAROM, HOE EN WIE?
Shalom!
^ At the end, every nation that has attacked Jerusalem and Israel and opposed His plan, God will stone. It is the last bowl plague (9l§89₁156, 7B, Rev. 16:20 and 16:21).
As under the Old Testament adulterers should be stoned (Deu. 22:20-24; John 8:3-11).
^ After that, in the last thousand years of the earth God will use water to discipline all the Gentile nations. If one people does not honor the LORD of hosts, it will not rain there. Even the people of Egypt (who received a big part of their water from the Nile), will not receive water {Zec. 14:(16-) 18 (-19) (7d§67₁14; 9l§89₁156)}.
At the same time not a single unholy thing or person is allowed to be in God's Temple (Zec. 14:20-21).
Prayer of them who know that man proposes, but God disposes (cf. Prov. 16:9), Bert
¤ In the Book of Revelation every believer is in a mighty voice warned about a system, that in the time of the church ages would be very beautiful on the outside but very polluted on the inside (Rev. 18).
Throughout the years but especially for our end-time God has warned, Rev. 18:4-5, <“Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. 5. For her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. ….”>
¤ The last verse of chapter 17 reveals that Rome, the state of the popes, is the great city whose spiritual name is Babylon the Great (4a§1317, Rev. 17:7, 9, 18).
In 476 AD the strongest state ever known, the Roman Empire, was finally wounded to death. But as a part of the city of Rome, as Vatican City, it came back to life as the church state of the popes (Rev. 13:3a, 4a§1317 and 6i§6(8)10).
¤ For example, from about the year 1500 in colonialism, it has penetrated the whole world, adapting to all sorts of forms of local idolatry. This is how in its deadly religious and commercial power, it has ruled as a goddess and used kings and merchants up to the present time. It had been the original church of Rome, which almost from its beginning had gotten badly lost (9h§89₁156, 1-2$).
Their bishops considered themselves more important than the Word. They told people that they could forgive their sins. This was never true. Man's sins are generally not forgiven through men, but by water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (cf. Acts 2:38).
¤ These false apostles and superior spiritual leaders (Nicolaitans) were still opposed in the first revival of the church age of Ephesus, but less and less after that (Rev. 2:2, 6).
Significantly Babylon the Great has been called the mother of the prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth. She is a woman who has broken her marriage vow to God in infidelity. She left, committing adultery with kings and at the end with the devil. The daughters, born from them, are like her (4b ja 4c§1317, Rev. 17:5).
¤ These, the Protestants, quickly organized themselves in the same lifeless manner as the church from which they had left. Belonging to the same spiritual society would be the most important deed. And they soon will decide that literally connecting with the pope and his church and his sign will be ok (6k§6(8)10/8d§89₁156, Rev. 12:13).
In the end-time of our churches, every believer must leave the wrongly organized churches and congregations. This has been preached by brother Branham until boredom (cf. 7d§67₁14, Rev. 14:9-13).
